- overall rating: 4.5 - very responsive to emails - personable staff/bartenders - they updated the juke! - I host happy hours every 3-4 months and had the last one here, everything went swimmingly and everyone seemed to really enjoy all the various activities they offer (pool, skee, darts, etc) - they don't serve food but they do allow you to bring your own - no minimum or down payment for reservations - I wish it were slightly more transit accessible but it's walking distance from me so I'm only griping on behalf of my guests - definitely intend on having more events here

I had a great time at Ace Bar. I think it's one of my favorite bars in NYC. Keep in mind this is coming from someone who loves a dive bar and cheap beer and Ace Bar was both of that (considering it was cheap for nyc prices at least). The night I came was the night of a Red Sox vs. Yankees game and it was sweet that they had that playing on their TVs. Not to mention skeeball, darts, pool, kids my age, and no one causing a fuss. It really was a great night all around.

I came here with a few friends for drinks on a Saturday night. It wasn't as busy as I anticipated and there was plenty of seating. A glass of wine was $8 (as of July '24), which I feel is pretty affordable at a dive in NYC. I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to go back, but it was good for what it was.

I came here on one of those random spark missions on a Monday where you just go with the flow of the night. One moment you're at dinner and the next you're 6 drinks deep at a dive bar you didn't know existed, walking towards the door to rip a drunk cig with someone you didn't know before the sun went down. Yeah, I have work tomorrow and will be down bad in the morning but I also like to feel like I'm living life here and there ahahaha. I was in here, a corona in the left hand and a skeeball in the right hand, darting those corner pockets 100s like I'm Patty Mahomes throwing no look dimes. Although it's $6 for skeeball which was kinda wild. You get 3 games, but I'd much rather do $2 a pop. There's also a pool table, darts, pinball, etc. Something for everybody in here. I love Alphabet City. I've lived here over a year now and am still learning new things, finding new places seemingly every week. A-TOWN STAND UP! IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov__
